Ladies and gentlemen of Talechasing;

If you don't mind me asking I have a small conundrum. Both my husband and I are out of work and, although this past week has been very busy, I can foresee many days ahead of frustration where I wish to work (write) and my darling man will be bored out of his gourd.

For those who have partners; how do you write with them around?

Everyone feel free to weigh in on this one if you have ideas or share similar frustrations or issues. I am interested to know.

I generally honestly don't. :(

When I DO, they have their own thing going and I have earphones and a SERIOUSLY engrossing soundtrack...

I generally wait until Himself is occupied with a computer game that does not involve him using the microphone. He's fairly good at keeping himself occupied, but not always so good at being silent when doing so.

But, tbh, I write so little that it's rarely a problem.

When we moved out, my condition was that I got my own study. When I have to, I shut the door. However, my sweetheart is usually so busy with his own schedule and hobbies that it isn't really an issue.

What are your husband's interests?

I can't write if anyone else is in, near, or about to arrive at the house. Even when I lived with roommates in totally separate rooms, I just couldn't write if they were home. I think it's why I'm a hermit. >_>

Maybe you can shoo him out of the house for Male Bonding Time elsewhere while you scribble? Or better, take littleun to the park! FOR HOURS! Yeah.
