[identity profile]
As you have all seen in the weekly check-in comments, themed writing challenges will be coming back to Talechasing in 2014. This time around, they will be accompanied by a critiquing circle.

How it will work
Prompts will be posted quarterly. You will have two months in which to write your story. When you are done, you will post your story to your own journal and leave a link on the Talechasing journal (you can either make a new post or leave a comment in the weekly check in). I will collect these links and post a round up once the writing deadline has passed. [ profile] ladylight will also be collating a list of pieces completed for the whole of the year.

After the writing deadline has passed, there will be a further month for critiquing. You may choose to submit a story for the writing challenge and not participate in the critiquing circle, but please make this clear when you post your link to the community. In the name of fairness, those choosing to submit their story for critiquing will be expected to critique all the other stories submitted for that quarter. Some leeway will be given for zombie outbreaks and custard floods.

At the end of the year, the final drafts will be compiled into an e-book for participants.

What we need
The first thing we'll need are writing prompts. It has been suggested that these have a connecting theme. Please vote on your favourite suggestion below or make a new suggestion in the comments.
